The A-side, “Holiday Holler”, is an original instrumental written by Ray Jacildo and fully realized by his Red Ryders; longtime bandmate, drummer Jason Smay (Los StraitJackets, JD McPherson); Jason’s son, the renowned kid-wonder, McKinley James on guitar; and Ray Jacildo on the Hammond Organ. Jacildo and Smay go duo on the B-side with “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, the timeless ballad by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane, written in 1943 and ever-poignant in 2020.
